By developing tectonic strategies from Model Making practices, innovative solutions can be generated. Architecture requires both drawings and models, with Collage inhabiting a liminal space between the two. Through the artifact and its materiality, collage can affect design practice in physical modeling.
The design process becomes the map and territory simultaneously. Therefore, the model is what remains from the dérive: a stilled-life section of the process of visualization.
